A WW2 period United States Army Air Force Enlisted Airman's Peaked "Crusher" Cap.

This example has a good quality, two-piece brass badge, and a brown leather chinstrap. It has however had a repair done to the corner of the peak underneath, and has had a few stitches put in.

It has been issued and worn throughout the war, and as such has some wear to the brown sweatband on the inside, and there's some marks to the inside liner caused through normal wear.

We would not recommend this cap for wearing (at Living History events etc), but it is ideal to put on display in a WW2 collection, as when displayed on a suitable display head - it looks a very presentable example.

Inside could best be described as in average condition, whilst externally the cap is very presentable, and in good condition. We have seen these caps fetching silly money (£100+), but this example is fairly priced according to condition.
