An unissued, British Army soldier's ELASTICATED HELMET CHINSTRAP.

This chinstrap was designed to fit the MK.III (aka "Turtle" & "D-Day") Helmet. This is a correct WW2 pattern strap, and is a mid-brown colour.

These are now becoming quite difficult to find, and are less common than the early WW2 chinstraps.

A very handy item to have - as nearly all the WW2 helmets that come to light seem to have their chinstraps missing, or have very tatty examples present.
