An unblancoed set of British Army, WW2 dated  Bren MG Supplementary Pouches.

These pouches are complete, and come with their correct, short cross strap. They were worn in addition to the normal Mk.2 (or Mk.3) pouches, and were worn as a supplementary set, above the normal pouches.

For more information on these pouches, please refer to the book "The WW2 Tommy" by Brayley & Ingram - there's an illustration of them being worn at the top of page 73, and a photograph of them being worn by the soldier on the left of the upper photo on page 107. Also, the famous reference book "British Army Uniforms & Insignia of WW2" by Brian Davis - describes them in detail at the bottom of page 235 (under the heading "The 1937 Pattern Web Utility Pouches").
