BOMB DISPOSAL PLIERS FROG. |
Item No. 00312
|
An unissued, unblancoed, late WW2 period British military WEBBING PLIERS FROG. This is a very rare little piece of webbing, and was designed to carry the army issue pliers. It looks like a scaled-down version of the wirecutters frog, and is about two-thirds the size of a standard 37ptn Infantry Wirecutter Frog. When closed, the frog measures 8cm across and 23cm in height. Because this frog was designed specifically to carry the army issue pliers - we can only assume that it was intended to be used by troops in the field, where the pliers were an essential and much used tool (Bomb Disposal perhaps?). The frog has not been issued, but has been in storage for years, and may display the odd storage mark. Please Note - The featured photo illustrates the front and reverse of the frog. A very rare piece of 37ptn web equipment. Overall - Excellent condition for age. Price: |
