WW2 SIGNALLER'S CARRYING STRAP .
Item No. 00313
A rare, and unissued British Army webbing TYPE "F" CARRYING STRAP. This strap was a multi-purpose item, and was issued to British Army signalling and radio units. The strap is like a normal cross strap, but has a couple of small loops, and a larger adjustable loop and buckle stitched onto the front. It comes with two one inch buckles, one at each end of the strap. An example of this strap can be seen in the popular book "Equipment of the WWII Tommy by David Gordon, top photo on page 230 - where it can be seen attached to a Wireless Remote Control Unit, which was an accessory for the No. 19 Radio set. This strap is a superb find - as it's in unissued condition, has it's original stores reference label (see top right of photo), and even comes in it's original cardboard box of issue! Price: |
